How to get rid of viruses on my laptop

Could somebody help me? My laptop is very slow and I get all kind of junk pop-ups all the time.. so I have virus on my laptop. Does anyone know any good virus protectors and how will I get rid of these viruses?

Please follow the procedure in this link: "BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps

Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum

Once you have posted a helper will advise you as soon as available.
S/he will also give you tips at the end of the cleanup, on how to avoid infection.
