I Can't Open My .exe Programs

Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right place to post this. For reasons that I don't understand I can't open any programs on my PC including system restore. Whenever I double click on anything the "open with" dialogue box appears.

I'm running XP Service Pack 3

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hello UKPunk,

There is more than one reason for such an issue, to try and narrow it down did your computer show any sign of infection before this occurred.

When was Service Pack 3 installed and please list all security programs installed.
