Good morning to you also, this:
Error loading Windows\system32\uqglrxkf.ddl The specific module cannot be found.
is the malware crying because we are trying to remove it. You did make sure that file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\uqglrxkf.dll <<< make sure that file has been deleted
Was deleted as I requested? We have a couple of files that appear to be Vundo, use Vundofix and add them, the click "Remove Vundo". Always post the report for me not matter what.

1) Be sure TeaTimer is disabled <<< VIP

2)Add these files to Vundofix:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ihauobdm.ini
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cqenkpbd.ini

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

KASPERSKY ONLINE SCANNER REPORT Monday, December 10, 2007 9:16:31 AM

This is the only active problem and as you can see it is Yahoo. Kaspersky says it is infected, I suggest you delete it.

You may scan it first if you wish:

i'm just now back from work..and i could not find the file to delete per your request...

"This is the only active problem and as you can see it is Yahoo. Kaspersky says it is infected, I suggest you delete it.
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\ycomp5_0_2_7.dll Infected: not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.Yahoo skipped"

i have not yet continued with the rest of the instructions from prior post....i didn't know if there might be somthing else to be done about this yahoo file

(10) C:\qoobox\Quarantine\ <<< delete combofix and that folder

am I to just delete the Quarantine folder or the entire \qoobox folder?

I have deleted VundoFix and ComboFix and the two folders requested.

But the yahoo file....even after doing the search, did not show up...i still cant find it. All hidden files are showing....any more suggestions?

I have not yet turned off system restore yet...awaiting your instructions.

ok...system restore was turned off...i rebooted...and system restore is now back on.....

oh....i think when i installed the ATF cleaner...an icon also appeared on my desktop called desktop.ini

i tried deleting it...but said that if i did some programs might not work. I opend the properties on it...its a configuration settings file..so i canceled the deletion...when i opend it up...it came as a notepad file.....and the following was in it:

[LocalizedFileNames]
Windows Media Player.lnk=@C:\WINDOWS\inf\unregmp2.exe,-4

where should i place that file instead of it being on my desktop.

I so do thank you very much for your help and paciense with me. I know your team of technicians work hard and long. I do wish you the best of the holiday season:santa:. And again, THANK YOU!!

i went into macaffee and removed the items that were in quarentine on it....and then i rebooted ....after the reboot that error message

Error loading Windos\system32\uqglrxkf.dll The specified module couldn't be found.

appeared again....so i restored the system to the point where i turned off the restore and turned it back on....it didn't apear after the system restore...did I do right?
