iexplorer.exe at 100% or Firefox.exe at 100%

OK Blade81, will do, I need to have some time to use the computer and find the sites that have high CPU usage. it might take me a day or two. Have you ever tried OTL ?

Hi,

There're Flash made ads there. Let's see what happens if we uninstall Flash. See here for uninstaller.

HI blade81, success ! I used the adobe flash uninstaller and the iexplorer usage went way down, I think this fixed it. I am going to try firefox now. iexplorer usage is almost nothing, memeory usage is down too. the funny thing is that i don't notice much difference in the way websites appear.

Hi,

On some systems Flash puts CPU to run high cycles. Let's see how Firefox does.

Okay, i'll try firefox, I have had this computer/op system and hardware in this configuration for quite awhile. I saw definite change one day going to websites that i am familiar with. Uninstralling flash made a big difference and I seem to be back to normal with IE.

Hello Blade81, thanks agin for your help, Firefox and IE both are improved after uninstalling Flash, how can I reinstall flash and get back to normal, Do I have some sort of malware that uses flash ?

You're welcome :)

You can try latest Flash version for IE and Firefox. Like I said of some reason Flash puts CPU usage to maximum on some systems. It's not malware related.

I don't understand what changed in my system ? I have had flash installed for years and my computer ran fine, now it is slow, with flash not installed, i casn't view uitube videos etc...

I have been using the computer with flash uninstalled and on certainb websites, it still seems to be quirky, I think that the flash uninstall helps free up resources, but there might be more.

im at work now and I have a little faster computer but it uses way less resources.

Hi,

Did you try to reinstall Flash yet? See how browser behaves with it. If it's still slow then see what happens when you open a new tab to this site for example (leaving the other tab open background).

Hello, When i reinstalled Flash, it was still slow, no matter how many tabs i opened, also AVg seemed to be using up resources which may be normal. disabling AVG seemed to help. I have had issues in the past with antivirus conflicts. I'm a little stumpted right now.

hello, i installed avira and reinstalled Flash 10.3, i then checked IE opening a second page. unfortunately i still seem to have the issue. It seems to work better with flash uninstalled but I miss not having Flash. Could I still have some form of malware ?
