Hey guys its been a while since I've had to use this site , but it really works so I thought I'd give it another shot.


I've been infected with a virus, a pretty nasty one. There is a red "X" and when I click on it, it states that I have a virus and redirects me to download spyware virus removal. I never had this before and is annoying.

After about 30 minutes or so my cpu crashes by itself so this tends to be annoying.

I also downloaded hijack this and for some reason I cannot install this software.

I'm willing to go through the steps again to get rid of this nasty bug.

Consider posting in the Malware Removal forum and having someone take a look at your system.

If you decide to have an experienced malware removal specialist assist you, please follow the procedure in this link to run scans and produce a HijackThis log:-
You'll have to install HJT in 'Safe Mode'. That is all I can tell you. Please start a new thread in the Malware Removal Forums and follow instructions from a Malware Fighter from there. First try renaming the HJT installer to something else. If it does not work, try to install it in Safe Mode.

Edit: Do not post another reply to the thread, it would be considered "bumping". Malware Fighters will think that you are already being helped.
