Install detection updates

I've finally managed to download Spybot 1.6 after unchecking the look for updates now box. However now when I try and run the check for problems I get the message
"You need to install the detection updates first by using the integrated updater or the manual updater"

How do I do this? I can't get online at the moment, one of the reasons I am downloading this, could this be the problem?

How did you download Spybot's installation file (spybotsd160.exe)?

Use the same method to download and execute the manual detection update file (spybotsd_includes.exe) from the following Web page:

    This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.
