Installed and ran Spybot - now Desktop dosen't show

Hello forum,
I am having a web browser redirect problem, so I installed and ran Spybot, following instructions (I had used it at work years ago). This computer is XP pro. It also runs the ESET security program. Install went fine. Ran Spybot
twice. First time found 4 cookies and removed them. Second time nothing
found. I did a restart and my desktop picture came up, but no toolbars.

Taskmanager shows Idle Process use. I cannot get anything else to work. I
must shut down with off/on power switch. Does anyone know what might have happened and how to get Windows working again?

It should work after a fresh reboot.
If that does not help pease enter these keys on your keyboard:
ctrl+shift+esc

Then choose the tab "applications" and enter this at "New Task...":
explorer.exe
