[Issue 062] Warning Message after Immunization - simular to Junior Member oh no

After reading the FAQ, and most of the forum, I came across your postings to Junior Member oh no. I thought my problem was solved - not the case tho. I followed you instructions as listed but with no results. I am currently using Webroots Window Washer, but that is the only product of theirs I use. I've only recently started examining sypware/malware killers so I am new at this. My problem as follows:

Immunizer says "2632 bad products already blocked, 6 additional protections possible. Please immunize."

Immunized using immunize button with green cross;
Permanent Internet Explorer Immunity states Immunization has finished - 2638 Bad products now blocked.

Check again button; same message as before - "2632 bad products already blocked, 6 additional protections possible. Please immunize."

Is this a false read do to the Webroot software?
Is there a fix for this?
Any info would be appreciated - even just a point in the right direction.

Are you running Windows 98, 98SE or ME?

There is a bug in the Spybot 1.4 immunization routine that affects Windows 98, 98SE and ME systems.

After immunizing on Windows 98, 98SE or ME systems, if the user checks immunization instead of getting the following message:
  • Information
    All known bad products are already blocked.
    OK
They get the following message:
  • Warning
    xxxx bad products already blocked, yyyy additional protections possible. Please immunize.
    OK
Indicating that either six (6) or twelve (12) items are not immunized. This is just a bug. If the value of the un-immunized items is not 6 or 12, it may be cause for concern, but the 6 or 12 is a bug.

I read the posts and my problem may or may not be a bug so I am including additional info about my error.

I am running XP Pro & am the only user on this machine. I have Spybot 1.4 and SpySweeper 4.5.9

About 3 weeks ago (just recently) I started getting the incomplete immunization error.

  • I downloaded updates and then clicked the Immunize icon.

  • (Today) I have 9471 bad products already blocked, 42 additional portections possible.

  • I click the green plus icon to Immunize. Spybot appears to immunize

  • Status: Immunization has finished. And below the green bar "9513 bad products are now blocked"

If I click the "Check Again" icon, Spybot indicates there are 42 additional protections possible.

I look forward to the fix/response.
