hello,

this is most likely not a false positive. Some Trojan horses add this registry key to disable security software, in your case Kasperksy antivirus.

Please do the following:
  • do a new scan with Spybot S&D
  • click on the blue icon next to the scan result to open the registry editor and browse to the location of this key
  • right click the key and choose to export it to your desktop
  • also right click the scan result within Spybot S&D and choose to save a full report to your desktop
  • email both files to detections@spybot.info , add a reference to this thread in your email

Hello,

we have received your email with the requested information.
The report file does not show an indication for an infection and the data in the requested registry export shows debugging options for the avp.exe.
Debugging options for a file are usually only needed if you develop the application.
However we will treat this as a false positive and make changes to our detection rules. This will be effective with the update scheduled for Wednesday 2009-09-30.

In your case you can set Spybot S&D to ignore this detection.
