I have run spy bot on safe mode and got rid of some of it but the icon remains. I took it off of task manager. I have used malwarebytes anti malware and Kapersky's tdsskiller. When I click on the icon it takes me to internet explorer. is it safe to delete the icon or is there some form of it left ?

In order for someone to advise please see the forum sticky which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.
