Malware: Virtumonde and others

Dear Support,

Hi. I have used Spybot successfully several times in the past. I now have a real problem on a home PC. Spybot was not able to eradicate Virtumonde, and now I also have others that can not be remove by automated process. Please help.

I currently have the subject PC running Spybot with latest definitions. Takes many hours to complete and I'll post the results when done. Because it takes so long, what should I do next?

Yes, my pc.

I ran Search and Destroy in protected as directed. killed 19 with virtumonde and smitfraud-c still there.

Then rebooted and downloaded Kaspersky and started scan. died somewhere after 25% and 40,000 files scanned. Error was from Internet explorer, accessed memory violation.

I'm now getting an emmediate error from internet explorer saying it needs to be restarted and asking if I want to send a report. If I ignore the message and don't do anything IE still functions, at least for a while.

I'm writing this message from a different PC as that one is almost non-functional at this point.
