Need Help With Windows Media Player

I new here so I hope this make sense.

I am having trouble with Windows Media Player. Movies play fine but when I play any audio files they stop after 10 seconds and Internet Explorer opens a blank page. If i cancel the connection to the page (which never opens/loads anyway) I find it is this address 'res://ieframe.dll/navcancl.htm'.

I have scanned my computer with AVG and Spybot but both report my PC as clean.

Only Media Player does this. I also use Creative MediaSource 5 and this plays all audio files fine...its just Windows Media Player that messes up.

Can anyone out there help me?
 
Oh...forgot to add that Media Player is Version 11.

In the Plug-ins it is showing an 'Unknown Plug-in' with no description or anything. Makes no difference if this is active or not.
