Need immideate help! Multiple trojans!!!!!

hi,

ok good you got it to work.
maybe you should delete everything in your Frostwire Saved folder.
FYI; there is plenty of malware distributed on p2p networks. Item #10 on my list.
ok so hows it looking now?

It seems like its running fine exept at the startup. It will give me like 4 error messages and sometimes when I boot up the computer it will stay at the very first screen that comes up that say says "HP" and the only way to fix that is to unplug it from the wall for 15 seconds. This isnt malware is it?

hi,

Dosn't sound like malware. Must be the HP splash screen. You should visit the Manuf. website and check the troubleshooting guides. They usually have helpful info all though it may not be easy to find. Some worse than others.

Spybot says there is Virtumundo .prx still and there is still 3 infections on Malware Bytes.
And thx for the heads up on the frostwire :)

hi,

dont see any malware in the log. hows it looking on your end now?

this:
SpeedBit Video Accelerator
Sounds like a useless app to me.

this:
RegistryOptimax
if this is a registry cleaner or something along those lines, cleaning the registry will not improve a computers performance, thats a myth.

yea the registry thing my friend did because he thought he knew what he was doing. Well I did a scan and there were only tracking cookies that i got rid of and virtumundo prx. is gone wooooohooooo:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
thank you so much for your help glad theres people like you around :) :) :) :) :)

hi Wizit,

At last. your welcome. heres my "new and improved" tips for you;

Reducing Your Risk To Malware:
The Short Version:

1) Keep your OS,(Windows) browser (IE, FireFox) and other Software up to date to "patch" vulnerabilities. Always install Service Packs.

2) Know what you are installing to your computer. Alot of software can come bundled with unwanted add-ons.You may be installing more than you think.

3) Install and keep them all updated: one antivirus and two or three anti-malware applications. If not updated they will soon be worthless.

4) Refrain from clicking on links or attachments you receive via E-Mail, IM, Chat Rooms or Social Sites, no matter how tempting or legitimate the message.

5) Don't click on ads/pop ups or offers from websites requesting that you need to install software to your computer.

6) Don't click on offers to "scan" your computer. Install ActiveX Objects with care. Do you trust the website?

7) Set up and use limited accounts for everyday use, rather than administrator accounts. Limited accounts can help prevent *malware from installing.*

8) Install a third party software firewall.

9) Consider using an alternate browser and E-mail client. Internet Explorer and OutLook Express are popular targets for malicious code because they are widely used. See also: Hardening or Securing Internet Explorer.

10) If your habits include: warez, cracks etc or you install files via p2p networks then you are much more likely to encounter malicious code. Do you trust the source? Do you really need another potential malware source?

A longer version in link below.

Happy Safe Surfing.
