New Adware?

I have a very similar problem to the following archive but can not find a resolution.

just last week popups from nowhere. I run two pop-up blockers Spybot s&d and Spywareblaster. I also run Symantec AV, All Products are up to date. Scans reveal nothing but I have to have a Trojan or something.

Any advice would be appreciated, this is driving me nuts...
