new to this, need help

my computer was redirecting me to every website but the one i choose, and my mouse was acting very funny, clicking on things when i never even tapped the pad. so i search and found spybot. My only problem is I think I was dubbed in the process. I was sent to a page which has spybot on it, but told me to download something called Systems Scanner Full for $35.00. I did just that and there was no spybot, until I followed some links to download SpyBot itself and found of course it's free.

that's the page i was on. please either confirm my fears or relieve them, cause honestly i'm at the point of just getting rid of the internet all together.

We are sorry, but it seems like you got cheated.
I'm afraid you did not get our software.
Our software is called Spybot - Search & Destroy.
You don't have to pay $ for Spybot - Search & Destroy, it's freeware and does not need to be purchased (although we appreciate any donation).
Also our software does not need any registering to work.

You did not get Spybot - Search & Destroy, but some other software of low quality.

If you want to get Spybot - Search & Destroy just download the direct installation file.

What you should do is ask your credit card company to cancel the payment (since a download is a non-physical thing, the other side will have no reason to object to the cancellation, and the fees are upon them, not you), since it's not us who received your money most probably, but someone trying fraud.
