No spyware ever found anymore

Firstly i have been using spybot s&d for a few years now and has 9/10 found spyware on a scan.

I use the internet everyday so sometimes pick up a infected file or 2.

But now for about 3 months it has no picked up one single infection. Which i find strange.

Only thing i can think of it, when i updated a while back i got an error message.

something about malicious code being downloaded or something, (this was an update from spybot)

i quickly uninstalled and then reinstalled but still no infections found...

help?

Hello,

Please make sure that you are running the latest version of Spybot - Search & Destroy including the latest updates.

To see which version number and/or updates of Spybot - Search & Destroy you are using please run Spybot-S&D and choose "Help" --> "About" in the menu bar.
There you can see which version you have and which updates are installed.
It should be version 1.5 and the updates from the 2008/01/02.

Please run Spybot - Search & Destroy and switch to "Advanced mode" via the menu bar item "Mode" and select "Settings" --> "File Sets" in the left bar. There, please right-click somewhere into the list and choose "select all available checks".
