PC Defender Plus Removal

Hello,

I have a computer running XP Pro that is infected with PC Defender Plus. I found a thread online that said to use Spybot S&D, but three scans later, the windows keep popping up showing the program (virus) is still running. Task Manager will not allow the program to be uninstalled. It interferes with every process and has disabled the use of the computer, popping up fake infection warnings constantly.

Is there a thread anywhere that shows ALL the steps necessary to remove this virus completely and properly?

To seek advice in this forum please see the sticky which includes guidelines in post #1 and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary DDSand aswMBR logs used for analysis.

Then start a new topic providing the DDS and aswMBR logs and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.
