PC is infected with some sort of trojan tha modifies search results

I have followed the instructions and everything seems fine though I notice that on this computer that sometimes when I restart, it says that a duplicate login is running. Is that bad?

Ok. Then I need to know more about the environment you use this computer. Is it possible that some other system in your network has same computer name? To check computer name right click on My Computer and click on Properties, and then click on the Computer Name tab. Two system shouldn't have same details in Full computer name -field.
 
Ah, I see

The computer name on the PC that was infected (my brother's PC) is named abc while the one I normally is ABC. So I guess the problem lies there though l do not get that message of another pc with the same name on the other computer.

I changed the name on both computers and the popup doesn't appear. However, I think the pc took longer to load, but that might be because I am not used to the load time on that pc; I rarely log onto that PC and will ask my brothers if they see anything different when loadin up the pc.
 
Ok. Anyway, things on this PC you posted logs from is working properly now, right?
 
Yup. According to my brothers, the pc that was infected (I posted logs and was cleaned thanks to you guys), has no more problems. Thanks.
