Ran AVG found loads!

OK, done, it only ran in IE not Firefox.

Ive done the above, but the 'settings' lines were not on the hijackthis log to check. So i checked the rest and fixed them.

Do you need another logfile to see if it all looks good?

And do i need to go back and change any settings, like the one that lets me see al programs that are supposed to be hidden?
 
Firefox still not working properly, just shut itself down for about the 5th time today, allowed me to restore session.

If i have multiple FF windows open surfing there is a dely whenever i select a function, such as flicking between browser windows, clicking on a link, anything really, small but annoying delay.
 
I have Firefox but rarely use it. When I do have a problem with it, I uninstall it and download it fresh. The price is right.

I can only remember changing that one setting you mentioned. I keep mine visible all of the time, but if you have anyone who uses the computer who might fool with protected files, you may want to hide them. The one problem with that is, but the time they get to the computer they know more about them than I do.

TF done, here's the hijack log. I uninstlled and then d/loaded and added Firefox again. Same symptoms, chenging between open windows takes time, stalls, screen goes blank as page loads, keep shuuting FF down mid download, then offers me restore session option when i try to open it again.
