safer-networking blocked

I have been trying to clean up after some soft of infection. MBAM reports no infections but I cannot get to safer-networking.com to install S&D. The browser (Firefox and Chrome) cannot resolve even though I can ping the name. I had S&D installed at one point and replaced hosts file with fresh copy.
I have HiJackThis and DDS ready to go...

Please see this forum's FAQ to post a preliminary DDS log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) then start a new topic.
