SD Version 2.4 very slow to fix selected problems

Spybot SD version 1.6 fixed selected problems in a matter of seconds, but since I upgraded to ver 2.4 I find it takes over ten minutes. Is this this to be expected or is there an incompatibility with my Windows 7 PC? If I uninstalled it and went back to version 1.6 would there be any real disadvantages?

No,version 2.4 should be compatible with Windows 7.There is recommended hardware requirements,but most computers would have those:

Version 1.6 is a bit older,but it's still available,and some people do still use it,so you could go back to that,if you like.There's a mirror selection page here.

Thanks for the advice. I can't see any compatibility problems looking at that list but I will go back to 1.62 for the time being.

Fix selected not working

I too have this problem with 2.4. I run the scan and it produces results. When I select "fix selected" nothing happens. Did going back to 1.6 fix this problem? or is there another fix? Eventually Windows Vista shows that the program is failing to respond and it errors out. Please help.
