Selecting files to scan

Hi,
new to this Spybot and I would like to know how to select just certain files to scan. Everytime that I try to scan my computer, it takes a very long time. I don't see the need to scan all of my files everytime I start this up. I attempted to use the "select files to scan" but I'm not sure what to select. I would like it to only scan the "C" drive as this is the one where all of the program files are.

Is this the correct thing to do? If not, which files should I select to get this to run for a shorted time period? The last time it said that the scan would take 1156 minutes, this is unacceptable in my opinion.

Thanks.

Hello DIYer56,

Spybot 2 can scan single files or specific folders: https://www.safer-networking.org/private/details/

OK, I did see the link and I have the Home Edition, now what do I do?

You'd need to choose the files you want to scan if you decide not to do a full scan, can you provide more details please as only you see your files and folders. :)

Best regards.

Scanning Options

I have SB S&D 2.4.40.0 + AV.
When scanning I get a message about the scan being too long (which it is).
It suggests that I right-click "the arrow next to start a scan" to make changes.
I don't see the arrow or any other way to select files or drives.
Thanks for helping!
