slow computer

Shelf life, now my musicmatch doesnt work......what the heck is changing all of my settings?!!!!!!!!
when i tried to use musicmatch it said that my play.dll or my mixer.dll had application errors.
not only that, but now my javascript has problems.
could i have a virus that affected my .dlls? maybe it changes faces everytime i boot up. could it be attached to my .dlls.
something else, when i go into my programs file, it has a start up file and its empty....i thought your start up file should contain all of the programs that are opened when you boot up.
i tried to reinstall my musicmatch cd i got from dell, but it didnt fix the problem. i still got the same error message.
you probably think im about half crazy by now....its just one thing after the other....a ripple effect...

i cant take it anymore. im getting messages that say my active shield components are missing, im getting application errors, my outlook keeps telling me it wasnt shut down properly, and now, my "favorites" files in i.e. are empty. something has taken over my computer. i just want to reconfigure it at this point. tell me that will cure what ails my computer! will you please tell me how to go about reconfiguring this computer? i just dont see any other way to gain control of my compter again. do i need to change my email address as well? i will change my passwords after i reconfigure....actually, i will change them from the computers at school. they are safer than your local bank vault!
Please let me know all of the steps i need to take.

hi Seamom,

seems to be going from bad to worse. dont know what to tell you. youve run several malware apps and one thats better for trojans (ewido). you've run in safe mode. your browsing seems to be ok.i assume your antivirus is updated and youve scanned with it recently. sounds like its not working correctly now either. its hard to diagnose multiply problems via a forum. the only way i know to reconfigure a computer is to reformat the hd. dell has excellent guides etc., but thats up to you.
 
Think im going to check it out. i booted up my computer today and the icons are rearranged....someone is having a good time at my expense.....probably my exhusband...hahahahahahahahahha

i ran the browser test you provided the link for. the only thing that came up was that i need to fix my play.dll or/and my mixer.dll. do know how to fix that? also i need to fix my active shield component, it says its missing. how do i fix that?
