SPYBOT 1.4 to 1.52 Upgrade FAILURE!

problems upgrading to 1.52

On installation, try unticking "get updates immediately".
SB1.52 will install, then you can get the updates later.

I also downloaded from www.filehippo.com, but I doubt that helped.
 
Alright. SOrry it took me so long to get back to you guys its been a crazy week here. So here is what the error looks like


Error Creating Key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/.disables

RegCreateKeyEx failed; code 5
Access is denied
 
The Professor BMX:

That message indicates that you do not have the proper permissions (authority) to create entries HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT registry key.

What Windows OS are you running and are you attempting the installation from a user that has Computer Administrator authority?
