Spybot 2.0 in beta

I recently saw a beta on filehippo for a newer version. I really liked Spybot S&D from a few years ago. However, people were saying it crashed on their system, etc. Do we have a time frame on the new 2.0 in case I missed it since I just joined the forum?

no definite timetable for Spybot 2.0

@ashelton: nope. there is no definite time frame for the 2.0 beta/RC releases.

previous beta of Spybot 2.0 (b4) was released in October 2011 and the current beta (b5) was recently released. and yes, the previous 4 betas did cause some crashes on certain computers

you may as well wait for the final release of Spybot 2.0, which could possibly happen later this year.

personally I'll wait for either an RC or final release, to see if things are stable then.
