Spybot Disabled? Need Help!

Okay so, first of all I hope I am posting the correct forums. If not, I am sorry.

I seriously need help with my Spybot Search and Destroy. It will not run at all. I can open anything like Update, File Shredder, Tutorial, but when I go to open the scanning window it acts like I never even clicked it. I do not get the loading icon, nothing. Not even a two second box appearance.

And this only started happening when I got the red circle with the white X on my toolbar that insists every fifteen second my computer is infected. I hae no other protection besides Spybot, so I would appreciate some help!

I am not so good with computers when it comes to protection.

Please help.​
