this is just a suggestion but seeing as how bandwidth is not cheap why not use Bittorent DNA. this would help keep some of the costs down.

I don't think we want to rely on a technology controlled by another company to deliver our updates. We could only add this as an addition to HTTP since Bittorrent DNA may someday go out of business. Implementing and testing this would also not come for free.
