Spybot locks up after check for problems results

After Spybot has checked for problems, the program does not respond at all when the "fix problems" button is hit. Spybot completely locks up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Spybot twice. No difference. The way it is now this program is worthless to me. How do I solve this problem?

you can try running spybot in safe mode.
to reach safe mode you would tap the f8 key during a computer restart, chose the first option from the list safe mode. once at the safe mode desktop launch spybot. after a reboot back in "normal" mode run hjt and post a scan log from it in reply
