SpyBot S&D Updater not responding

I have installed SptBot S&D 1.5.1.15 on my PC as I am running Vista Ultimate build 6000. When I try to update I get the message "S&D Updater not responding". My PC processor has a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 64Kb primary memory cache, 4096 Kb secondary memory cache. It is a new machine and dust and or overheating is not a problem. Anybody have any clues please.

Please try this fix:

Please store the two containing files (spybotsd.exe and domains.sbs) in your Spybot folder.
Normally it is located here:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy

The spybotsd.exe belongs to this path:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy
The domains.sbs belongs to this one:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Includes

If you are asked if you want to override this files enter yes - this will make the changes.

The link provided opens the "file download page"
and asks the question.. "Do you want to open or save this file?"
Name ...xe-1.5.1.16-2007-09-24 issues -76-78-79-84.zip

Clicking on either open or save causes the "file download page" to dissapear. The file listed is not downloaded or saved.

I am on ADSL 1.5Mbs 1Gb download/month.

As per your instructions I am now running Spybot 1.5.1.16 but S+D Updater is still not responding.

An update.. While S&d Updater is still not responding I can download and install the latest updates from the download site without any problems.
