Hi. I've done everything and followed every instructions given in various topics here to make spybot work and make complete a scan. I never had this problem with my Pentium M (laptop) but when I moved to this *censored* Pentium 4, every apps I liked starts to crash/freeze for no reasons (Spybot, Adobe Audition 1.5 & Photoshop for those I know).

Is there a way to correct that? Because I love your app so much, so useful, so... good at detection! Thanks.

P.S : Everything is up-to-date. S S&D 1.4 with latest updates. Config.
Pentium 4 3,0 Ghz with HT.
2 GB of RAM
1x 200GB HDD internal S-ATA
1x 250 GB HDD external USB 2.0
ATI Radeon X600 Pro PCI-Express

What things have you tried so far?Have you tried this yet?

Spybot S&D and Hyperthreading:

If you already have Spybot S&D 1.4 or it doesn't fix the problem, this is a rare situation that hasn't been explained yet. You can do the following to get a scan to work, but you'll have to do it each time you use the program.

Here is how:
Open Spybot, then leave it alone
Open Task Manager, and go to the Processes tab
Right-click on SpybotSD.exe, and choose "Set Affinity..."
On the box that comes up, check/uncheck boxes so that ONLY "CPU 0" is checked.
Go back to the already-open Spybot, and run a scan. It should complete without hanging or losing responsiveness.
