I cant delete it; it s still in the status bar and asking me every 5 minutes to click on it.
if i do, => Removed malicious url

i hate it
how can i delete it

Hi I feel the same way.. This spycrush thing is really getting to me. I have just been to a computer shop and they said that the process to get rid of spycrush was set out in smitfraudfix. But I cant find it. Do I now have to now wait for someone to email me with the solution. If so, can someone do this please. If not can someone show where the solution is.

Please download SmitfraudFix to your Desktop.

Double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Now follow the prompts and do a search and delete the found stuff afterwards.

If you still have problems please download Trend Micro HijackThis 2.0.2

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe
  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • DO NOT use the AnalyseThis button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
  • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what HJT lists will be harmless or even required by your Operating System.
Please mail that log to our detectives: detections(AT)spybot.info (Replace AT with @)

Sandra, does this mean that Spybot will also be able to remove SpyCrush or just detect it? My sister's computer is infected with SpyCrush 3.2 and a lot of googling seemed to indicate that Spybot cannot remove this problem. I come to the Spybot forum to see if this true and read your post from last year about using SmitFraudFix to solve the problem which made me think maybe Spybot doesn't work on this. But as I said, your post is from a year ago and I'm wondering if a version of Spybot downloaded from say download.com would now be able to identify AND destroy Spycrush.
