stopped download for no reason

help when downloading an update it stopped in middle and 8 hours later still had not finished downloading. I had to shut down computer and restart to complete work I was doing as was running out of room,how do I correct this problem as faqs and newsletters don't address it . received no cheksums or anything .

You could try updating again,selecting a different download location-

(If my update gets stuck,I usually end Spybot using Alt-Ctrl-Del,after waiting a bit.)
