Sytem tray Icon disapears S&D

I have a feeling that someone may be runnin a script in a hidden module on startup. I go into S&D and select display S&D icon and to startup and when I reboot it is set back to no startup no icon in system tray. How can I find out who or what is changing the registry entries or be able to lock the entries before bootup.

Hello,

The icon in the settings is for an icon on your desktop.
To enable Spybot in the system tray you have to enable the resident TeaTimer.
- Go into Spybot - Mode - Advanced Mode - Tools - Resident.
- Check the following: Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
