TeaTimer - memory hungry?

I was to mention this some time ago, but only now it crossed my mind.

Why the heck wasn't something done so far to make TeaTimer use less memory than it uses now?

At this precise moment it is consuming nearly 37.000 K.

SUPERAntiSpyware demands only ~500K

See the difference?
 
Doesn't that occur when SAS is idle, and not scanning?

I was curious... How does SAS have to do with TeaTimer (unless you are just making a comparison;and is SAS Free or Pro?)?

This post by Greyfox should clear your doubts... and it is normal for TeaTimer to be consuming around 35-40MB of RAM.

Have you tried the latest version (beta) of TeaTimer (1.6.2.23)?

I was making a comparison. Why would TeaTimer component of Spybot consume nearly 37.000K of memory while, for example, SAS only takes nearly 500K.

I know it is normal for TeaTimer to consume such amount of memory. It shouldn't though.
Security products ought to provide best performance possible. This is what happens with SAS, and is one of the best AS out there.

Spybot's code should be optimized to take less memory than it takes now to work.

Is the comparison during idle? Or when SAS is scanning?
Have you tried the latest version of TeaTimer (beta)?

Depending on the user's motives and the computer resources, TeaTimer can either conserve memory or use more to scan faster.
