Thrashing hard disk and required Administrator access even though am Administrator

Hi there. I think the title says it all. For some reason my hard disk is constantly being accessed and is obviously slowing my computer down. Also I keep getting requests when running certain programs and creating files for saying that the these things can only be done if I am the administrator even though my user account is specified as administrator. Now in the past spybot has found the associated malware and sorted the problem, but not this time. I have also done a full virus scan and nothing turns up. Help much appreciated...

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.

• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt
• Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
