My initial thread was archived with no response on the 5th day. If at all possible, I'd still like some help:

Here is the thread:

I have a Windows Vista Ultimate desktop PC that crashes regularly - I have no clue as to why. In addition, my Norton antivirus software will routinely show that I'm unprotected after I leave my PC idle for a while. I ran a Kaspersky online scan which came back clean.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I ran a Kaspersky online scan which came back clean.
That is a very good scan and since it is showing nothing, chances are very good that this issues you are experiencing is not malware related. I suggest you discuss the Norton issue with tech support:
http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/index.jsp

and for the Windows Vista issues post at one of these free Windows Vista forums for help:

(post only at one, they are very busy also)

Thanks

Thanks for your review and your kindness... It is simply amazing that you provide this assistance. Please archive this thread and I will seek help on the Windows Vista forums.
