Ugh! System Shutdown in XX seconds

I am trying to install Norton 360 and about halfway through everytime a box pops up and says:

The system is shutting down. Please save any work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Time before shutdown: 00:00:45

Message

Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server Process Launcher service terminated unexpectedly.
