Un-installing Spybot

I am using Windows Vista with SP1 and I am the sole owner and Administrator of my computer. Recently I did a System Recovery which put my computer back to out-of-the-box condition. When I tried to install Spybot S&D it gave me an error message: "Create Process Failed, code 740. The requested operation requires elevation." A little later when trying to immunize I got the message: "Immunization requires to be run by an Administrator".

I wanted to un-install completely so I could re-install it later when I knew how to get around the Vista Safety issue (which I think I know now). Because of the error message at installation, rather than doing an un-install I did a system restore to the day before I installed Spybot, followed by running the Spybot "small fix" to remove Spybot registry items.

My question is: When I un-installed Spybot, as expected the "C:\ProgramData\Spybot - Search & Destroy\" folder remained but this forlder was not empty and it had many subfolders among them: Dummies, Help, Includes, Languages, Skins and Updates. All these subfolders also have files inside of them. Is it safe to delete all these subfolders with their files?

Many thanks in advance.

first....

And yes it is safe to delete those files.
Make sure you also read how to uninstall spybot completely; found here: http://www.spybot.info/en/howto/uninstall.html

I recommend a complete removal before you go and install spybot latest version again. That link will show you how. :) PS: when using the second link, use internet explorer to go to the website and download the small fix when the page tells you so.
