Update just update the signatures but not the program

Hello

I still use version 1.3 on some PCs

On Internet update, the program just Update the signatures but not the program. Is this also so in 1.4?
 
If you are asking if the integrated update facility within Spybot can be used to upgrade from Spybot-S&D 1.3 to Spybot-S&D 1.4, the answer is no. That is because Spybot-S&D 1.4 was not released as an update that could be downloaded via the integrated update facility.

The integrated update facility within both Spybot-S&D 1.3 and Spybot-S&D 1.4 is capable of updating programs within Spybot-S&D itself. For example, the following updates replaced dynamic load libraries within Spybot-S&D:
  • Advanced detection library - Advanced detection routines update (87 KB) - 2006-03-10
  • Detection support library - Detection support routines update (238 KB) - 2006-03-10
