Virtumonde fix?

Hi, I am working through the Malware removal Before you post thread. While doing a bit of searching on another machine I came across f-secure.com This has a down loadable fix to deactivate the Virtumonde bug. Before I go ahead with running it does any one have any experience of this fix? I am hesitant to run it at present as I don't want to make matters worse. Thanks Dave
 
Hi Dave

Usually those tools fix only part of the infection. I'd recommend to post your hjt log here. :)
 
Hi, Thanks Blade 81. I suspected as much as the sight only listed it as being able to disable it not destroy it. I will carry on working through the recommended tasks. Dave
