Virtumonde, Smitfraud.c, TinyBar.C (and Windows Activation??!!)

Hi Shaba,

I've completed the steps you listed:

Removed ComboFix
Ran OTCleanIt
Redid System Restore
Updated virus scan
Ran Secunia and updated the programs listed
Ran MS Update
Installed SpywareBlaster, MVPHost, and WinPatrol

Also uninstalled ERUNT.

System is up an running! Some program questions:

Is there a better option than my Symantec 2002 Corp Edition, which is only a virus scan?
Should I have Spybot's Tea timer running?
I've got Ad-aware installed. Needed?

Well it is fine as long as virus definitions are up-to-date. Engine itself isn't the latest ones.

TeaTimer can be running but if WinPatrol is as well it is not needed.
 
Ah, okay. I lost confidence in my Symantec because I got infected on it's watch.

I guess I'm good to go!
