Hello,

Could be a bad monitor or video card, swap out the monitor for a known good one and see if it works, if still no go it may be a bad video card. Lots of things it could be, maybe even the power supply failing. Let me know how you make out and if your still having problems I can link you to some windows support sites that would be better able to run you through some checks,

It is a lap top so don't think I can swipe out the monitor(?) The power source.. the middle light ( indicating power) shows green. I do need to replace the battery so keep the power plugged in when I am going to use it. Signed up for one of those, "send in the battery & have it re- charged" places (trying to keep the planet green), before this all happened. Will keep you posted.

Hi,
MY smart kid figured out how to get it back up & running. Said it was the monitor basically. He had to press the top together as some how it was not fastened.
