Hi there,
Running Windows Vista Home Premium.SP2.
Searched in loads of sites... none to pleasing, and figured it was time to turn to more experienced experts
Within the last, lets say, 20-30 days, vista has been playing up... Firstly it was returning from "Sleep Mode" and then causing a restart...that has ceased. I thought i was set on the right track.. soon to be dashed.
Vista is now on its last legs, i need some desperate help.
Symtops/errors:
1."DCOM server unresponsive- automatic restart",
2."Windows will restart in one minute" -No reason given
3. HP Health Check service has stopped working
4. Catalyst Control Centre:Command Line Interface has stopped working.
5. Windows 7 upgrade advisor has stopped working.
6. Host Process for Windows Services has Stopped working.
7. play and play service has terminated unexpectantly and windows must now restart
8.DCOM has terminated unexpectantly and windows must now restart
There are many more, but cant remember off the top of my head. Also, Norton Internet Security is always blocking an attack:
An intrusion attempt by 212.117.174.176 was blocked.Application path \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME1\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SVCHOST.EXE
risk name:HTTPS Tidserv C and C Domain Request.
I am only assuming, and quite possibly assuming wrongly, that the two are interlinked,im oblivious to whether that is true or not.
Thanks for any help in advance, though im not expecting any right away/for a few days as Christmas.
Here is the HiJackThis Report:
Note: While I ran this, I had numerous GoogleChrome Tabs open, i see many chrome.exe lines in it...and thats the reason. Also I just scraped by and managed to save the report prior to one of the errors above..I believe it was the DCOM error.
