Webroot and Spybot

hello all! i just have this little problem...when i run a scan with webroot and i run a scan with spybot either crashes or is really Effin slow...is there a way to fix this? or am i going to have to deal with it until something interesting happens?

Do you run both tools at the same time?
Which version of Spybot do you sue?
Which webroot product do you use?

Spybot Version: 1.6.2
Webroot Version: 6.1.0.128

sometimes i run it at the same time...other times i run them separately but for some reason spybot still lags....

You are talking about Webroot SpySweeper?

please don't run them at the same time :nono:
Note: Your computer can freeze, crash or lag if you use more than one scanner at the same time. Moreover, you could get more false positives.

other times i run them separately but for some reason spybot still lags....

How much RAM do you have? Which CPU do you have?
Spybot is quite CPU intensive, perhaps here is your problem...
Before running a securty tool, I would close all other programs that need "lots of RAM & CPU".

i have 2 Gigs of RAM

900MB are being used by Windows 7
My CPU is currently using 1.1 Gigs right now
the 100Mbs are being used by Webroot for Protection, and Ashampoo Real time protection

Spybot when scanning uses about 250 Mb of RAM.....
