What is "microsoft.windows.activedesktop" ?

Everytime that I run Spybot - "microsoft.windows.activedesktop" is detected and I quarantine. This has been going on for months....... What is it and if it is truly bad, how do i really get rid of it!!!!!

I'm just back from three weeks down for vacation and not totally up to speed yet, but I can tell you this.

1. This is the malware forum, your Spybot S&D questions should be posted here:

2. I am not sure this is even malware, see this:

It may well be valid and you would need to either over ride it or ignore it. Once you look at the links I posted, if your question is not answered, post for the Spybot S&D experts, they will be able to help.
If it turns out issues are involved concerning malware, then you need to read and follow the directions which are posted at the top of this forum and included in this post for your convenience.
