Which Antivirus

I am seeking some sound advice. I am about to remove (if possible) Norton Antivirus 2008. My two considerations for replacement are AVG anti-virus professional and ESET NOD32. My question: which do you consider the best and why.
Thanks for any information

Hi Tashi,
Thanks for the advice. I elected to go with NOD32 as well. Now for my next problem:D:. After doing a search on my computer, I find that I have many Symantec as well as Mcafee files and programs hanging around, a lot of which I can't seem to get rid of. I did a search of the forum, but didn't seem to find anything decisive. Any help would be appreciated as I'd really like to get all of these "malware" programs and files completely off my computer.
Thanks again.

well, symantec has a norton removal tool
Use the Norton Removal Tool to remove a failed installation or a damaged Norton product.

Warning The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products and Norton 360 from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

If it's just quarrentined files, maybe you should just delete them if you don't want them.
look in here on xp: C:\documents and settings\(username)\application data\
or: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\
There should be a symantec or norton folder, with quarrentined files, logs, etc.

I don't know about mcafee though...
