windows 8 system restore problem

system restore will not complete because it says it can't access a file.
also,system restore doesn't seem to be creating restore points when I install windows updates like it should be doing.

I haven't disabled system restore or anything like that.

I wanted to know if this is a spybot issue.

the message says it may be an anti virus program preventing it from completing properly.

spybot and avg are the only programs i use to protect computer and I know how to disable AVG but don't know how to disable spybot to see if system restore will work.

I immunize my system as administrator in spybot program to protect my computer

Spybot wont conflict with the System-Restore and Spybot will also not disturb the System-Restore-Procedure.

If the System-Restore from within Windows dont work, you could try to start the System-Restore from Safemode of Windows or from the Recovery-Tools from within the Windows-Setup-DVD
