Recently, when trying to open avi files that I have viewed before, the windows media player shuts down with unknown error. I have tried to upgrade and re-install with no luck, and the same issue happens with any of my avi files that I was previously able to view. Attached is my hijack this report:

Welcome to the forum, WMP troubleshooting is not what we do here and I see no malware in the log. I do see a badly outdated Java program that if it has not gotten you infected, it will if you don't keep it updated, see this information:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2

There is a lot of information at Google to help troubleshoot WMP issues:
http://www.google.com/search?source...LG,GGLG:2006-16,GGLG:en&q=WMP+troubleshooting

Good information to read: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=7344

If I can do more let me know, otherwise tashi:) will close your tobic in a few days.

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

Thank you for the response and for reviewing the log. I will update the java application as suggested and review the other recommendations. Thanks again.
