Windows Security Center Firewall bypass problem

That is normal and expected :)

Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

  1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  4. Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
  5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
  6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  7. You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
  8. Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
  9. Please post this log in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Um...well i started the kaspersky online scanner, but suddenly i got the blue screen. This happened after an hour or so. The blue screen contained notices related to drivers, new drivers and so on. I'm guessing this is somehow related to windows freezing randomly, which could be due to my gfx card drivers or audio/video codecs.

After an hour and 15 minutes the scan found 2 types of infections in 3 different files. I will try and re-run the scan but i can't do that sooner then thursday or so because i have a 5GB traffic limit (little stupid thing used in my dormitory) and i'm at 95% of it now.

I also ran another spybot scan after i received the blue screen. The scan revealed no more infections, not even the firewall bypass thing. I am however curious as to what Kaspersky found.

Do you think i could try reinstalling my drivers right now? Or should i wait untill all scans are completed?

Okay... i've tried running the Kaspersky Online Scanner 3 times now but it always get's stuck. Either i get the blue screen or windows just freezes. No exact idea why this is happening but it could be due to some missing files (seeing as how one of my partitions is missing a bunch of files; maybe that's what happend on a smaller scale on other drives).

Is there any other scan i can run instead of that one ? Or should i post any other log ? Cause i really don't think i can get the Kaspersky Online Scan to finish succesfully.

Yes you can then try this one:

Note: You - will - need to use Internet Explorer for this scan!
Please temporarily disable your Anti-virus real-time protection. If active, it could impact the online scan.

      • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  6. Click "Start"... ESET scanner will begin to download the virus signatures database.
When the signatures have been downloaded, the scan will start automatically.
  7. Wait for the scan to finish... it may take a while... please be patient. When the scan is finished...
  8. Use Notepad to open the log file located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
  9. Copy and paste the contents of log.txt in your next reply.

Well i have to start looking for the cause of that freezing problem now. I've checked almost everything and nothing seems to be wrong, but windows still freezes all the time.

But thank you very much for all your help in helping me remove all those virus threats. I hope it wasn't too troublesome for you.

That looks like hardware issue to me.

Is it OK to redirect you to some windows forum for that issue?

Well i thought like that as well. So i began running all the basic scans and tests. Afterward i went a bit deeper and tested the ram, the graphic card and so on. Still no idea what the problem was/is. I reinstalled all my graphic drivers already, video-audio codecs. Maybe it was because of those.

Would be nice though to have a forum where i could ask about that if the problem persists. Thank you.
