Need User Feedback: Wordpad False Positive - Win32.FraudLoad.PC

After updating with yesterday's update (last week's update), I got this message when trying to save a document using Wordpad or any other RTF text editor (saving plain text files in Notepad are fine):

Error (or whatever it is): 2516

Wordpad.exe was trying to change your registry settings.

Detected as: Win32.FraudLoad.PC

Right click scan of the program comes up clear in both search results, as well as with AVG.

I'm running Windows XP, SP2, haven't had a virus for ages, and this problem started thirty seconds after I updated Spybot.

Please bear with me if my posts are delayed, but I will reply.

Hello,

please see here on how to report a false positive.

Since this appears to be a TeaTimer false positive after an update, please try restarting the TeaTimer or rebooting your computer.
If you use more than one real time protection it is recommended to shut down all but one. The normal scans are usually not affected by this. Which real time protection you disable is your choice.

The following instructions show you how you can disable TeaTimer:
  • start Spybot S&D and switch into advanced mode
  • navigate to Tools - Resident
  • uncheck the checkbox for Resident TeaTimer to disable TeaTimer and remove it from system start
